Awareness created on stomach cancer in Chennai

Stomach cancer has been on the rise now and many people are getting affected with stomach cancer. Many efforts have been taken to create awareness about this cancer.
On Sunday, 24th November 2019, Health and family welfare minister, Mr. C. Vijayabaskar grabbed the attention of many when he released a book titled ‘Stomach Cancer – From Prevention to Cure’.
This book was authored by none other than the highly popular gastroenterologist and founder of EsoIndia, Dr. S.M. Chandramohan. He spoke about how the intention was to make the people know about the early symptoms of stomach cancer and various treatment options that are available. It is worthy to note that people who have stomach cancer are not aware of the symptoms associated with it and they go to the doctor only at the late stage. By this, there would be more complications.
It was pointed out by the state health and welfare minister that the department would be signing a MoU with EsoIndia to take forward the stomach cancer awareness.
The book release event also saw the presence of Justice RMT. Teeka Raman, Judge of Madras High Court and he received the first copy of the book. He appreciated the efforts taken by Dr. Chandramohan.
