The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) Commissioner Prakash inaugurated free Wi-Fi facility at the Nageswararao Park for the public to avail of.
Nageswararao Park is located in Mylapore) Lux Avenue under the jurisdiction of 123rd Ward at he Teynampet region of GCC. A large number of public have been spending time in this park.
In this situation , under the avenue of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility of the large corporations/Institutes) contributory Fund, the Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner inaugurated yesterday (Friday, 6th March) the free Wi-Fi service for the visiting public to avail and enjoy.
The commissioner shared in this regard:
‘There are 669 parks in the areas under the jurisdiction of the GCC. The Company ACT Fibrenet, under the CSR fund, has provided the free Wi-Fi services in the pedestrian complex located at T Nagar in the 1st Phase.
Subsequently, this free Wi-Fi facility for the public will be provided at the following 4 locations:
Natesan Park, T. Nagar, Tower Park, Anna Nagar, Sivan Park, K. K. Nagar, and Indira Nagar Park, Adyar.
This free Wi-Facility will be available on a 24x7 basis (throughout the day). Each user will be provided Wi-Fi for 45minutes at 20 Mbps uninterrupted.
Wi-Fi hotspot internet facility has been set up in the 8 pillars in the Nageswararao Thus, the public can avail this facility using the social networking media as well as being updated with the latest Park. Hotspots in each pillar can cater to 250 to 300 smartphone users.’
