Two famous restaurants now shut down by the Chennai Corporation for this reason

Two branches belonging to the famous restaurant chain in Chennai has been closed down by GCC now. The reason for that was due to the 4 employees who were working in 2 branches tested positive for Coronavirus infection. Information is that the 2 branches function at Periamet and inside the Central railway station. This was as per the sources belonging to Chennai Corporation.
Truth is that all the 4 employees were staying together in the same accommodation and to prevent further spreading the restaurant management has been asked to shut down its branches. It is clear that after the disinfection process gets over the restaurants would be given permission to function again. This was mentioned by an official. The closing down of these restaurants has come at a time when Chennai has been reporting above 200 Covid-19 cases for many days.
In Chennai, various commercial establishments, hotels and shops were given strict warning by GCC of severe action if they do not follow Covid-19 protocols. It was then brought out by the release from the corporation that the officers have been checking whether the protocols were followed or not. It is now revealed that GCC had collected an amount of Rs 3.66 crores as on Wednesday from those who violated the protocols.
