Coronavirus pandemic has led to many changes in the lives of people and their needs have changed now!!

The need to consume good quality healthy food has become more now than in the past and Coronavirus pandemic has been responsible for this. Now, fresh organic commodities such as country chicken eggs, artisan rice etc have got huge demand.

Two organic farmers namely Archana and Kalidoss started My Harvest Farms an e-store in Chennai. In the initial stages, this store was selling just veggies, fruits, greens, country chicken etc. Now, after the Covid-19 pandemic, this e-store has started to sell various products like traditional rice, oil, jaggery etc. It was pointed out by the owner Archana that their regular customers started to ask about various other products too and hence it was thought as the right time to sell these products also for the customers. She hinted about how rice varieties and oils are being procured for the needs of the customers. It is superb to note that women in their farms also make traditional snacks using millets, palm jiggery etc.

Sourcing their products from local artisans, organic farmers, self help groups and non-mass producing brands etc, 2 persons named Prem Anthony and Pradeep Kumar began their store named Eco Indian. Just groceries were offered by this store till now and the store now is selling organic vegetables, fruits and greens that were grown in their farms. Various millet types such as kodo millet, foxtail millet and pearl millet and finger millet etc are being sold in this Eco Indian store.

Mr. Prem Anthony, owner of Eco Indian store spoke about how health seeds were having huge demands from the customers. He added that vegetables and fruits were also sold in their stores after the pandemic. He then threw light on hydroponically grown greens especially for the customers who visit their store.
