A new fast-spreading infection in Chennai: affects children the most!!

A new infectious disease is spreading fast in Chennai Metro City.
As this new infection affects the children most, there are huge crowds of patients in hospitals!
Like it has never happened in the last few years, the number of citizens infected by cold & cough has been increasing quite rapidly!
Especially children of the younger age group have been infected largely with cold & cough complaint!
In most private and public hospitals, the department of Children`s care in-patients wards are fuelled with patients
Similarly, the out-patients section also has 25% more patients than usual!
Fever, cold, and cough are the complaints spreading fast generally among the children!
Though fever subsides in 3-4 days, the cough persists for 2 weeks at least!
Doctors observe that even when given medicine for cough, it does not subside! So, they advise taking a glass of lukewarm water stirred with a spoonful of honey!
Because of the sickness, the children refrain from going to school.
Climate change is also considered one of the reasons for the spread of fever, cold, and cough.
At the same time, due to the last 2 years` raging coronavirus pandemic, the citizens need to wear face masks. They have to observe social distancing. As far as possible, they must confine in their houses! So, the environment during the last 2 years was prohibitive to the spread of viruses/diseases. However, following the abetment of the coronavirus pandemic, lots of relaxations were given by the government. This has led to the avenues for the fast spread of infections!
Presently, a variety of viruses including inflammation in the breathing system are spreading quite fast! As such, there are more complaints of high fever, shivering, acute tiredness, headache, body0ache, dryness of throat, vomiting, and stomach-ache occur!
