Know about LICs latest surprising decision in Chennai?

One important landmark in the city of Chennai is Life Insurance Corporation of India building or LIC. This building located in the Mount Road or Anna Salai has been popular due to its height is a known fact.
The news is that a decision has been taken by LIC to create a urban dense forest in its premises in the Anna Salai in Chennai.
It must be noted that to increase the green cover and to mark the 66th anniversary celebrations the decision to create a dense urban forest in its premises was taken.
Point is that LIC south zone has taken up ESG or environmental social governance initiative to create urban dense forest.
At the backyard of LIC, the upcoming dense urban forest would be developed on 4500 sqft area. There would be as many as 950 trees with 30 different types.
The release from the LIC has revealed that it was a humble contribution from LIC towards making the planet a green space.
On 26thSeptember 2022, LIC final manager Mr. G.Venkatraman inaugurated this initiative. Other important person who made his presence during inauguration felt was Mr. Arup Kundu, executive director, engineering department.
