It is really shocking to mention that the relatives of these residents are hesitant to visit the houses here due to the foul smell. These days, more lorries with garbage come to the dumpyard.
The dumpyard in Kodungaiyur has been in use for the last 35 years and waste from zones 1 to 8 come to this place only. It must be taken into account that neighbourhoods such as Nethaji Nagar, Krishnamoorthy Nagar, Rajarathinam Nagar, Korukkupet, Suseela Nagar, KM Nagar and Bharathi Nagar etc fall within 3 km radius of the dumpyard.
