Shocking info about selling of plots in Chennai lakes now by real estate brokers and promoters etc?

The real estate brokers and promoters are making hay now in Chennai by selling even the plots present in the lakes!!
It is now said that Chennai city`s encroachment industry is working overtime and greedily taking up prime lakebeds and catchment areas. The TN government is not doing anything regarding this now. The shocking information is that about 1200 sq ft of land present in the lakes like Puzhal and Korattur etc have been sold.
The registration deeds of the plots in these lakes have been promised by the brokers and the real estate promoters etc now. They have been making false promises to the buyers by mentioning that by selling the plots in the lakes after a few more years would bring huge profit to the buyers. It is worthy to note that one example is Srinivasa nagar, a non-descripot self proclaimed area right in the Puzhal lake.
This locality (with small houses built in a zigzag manner) does not have any road or SWD or underground sewage network etc but a local real estate agent mentioned that houses could be purchased now for Rs 10lakhs etc and could be sold for good profit after a few years. A real estate agent has created many people here by selling plots that have been registered already in other names. People realised that they have been cheated only after paying the money to the real estate agent.
In Korattur Lake also, the brokers have assured plots for Rs 10 lakhs in R.K. Dakshin Nagar. Truth is that the WRD has issued notices to all the houses here. For nearly 10 years, the encroachment business has been going on here and this was as per some officers from WRD. He revealed that in 1992 about 150acres of lands here were purchased by WRD and till now some of the lands haven`t been transferred to them. The local agents have been selling the land here to the public and cheating them.
In creating the sales deeds, there is some collision between the revenue officers and real estate agents.
