Ambattur residents want GCC to take note of this soon!!

There are many street name boards in Chennai that have been damaged now. The GCC has been replacing these damages ones is known.
In ward 80 in Ambattur, few streets have been left out by the GCC now. This has made many residents unhappy. It is really shocking to note that some streets do not have street boards for more than a decade also. As a result, the residents as well as commuters travelling on these routes have been finding it tough to identify locations etc. Point to be noted is that the residents here now want street name boards to be placed by GCC soon.
Five streets in Ambattur ward 80 namely Thiruvallur Street, Dr. Ambedkar Street, Periyar Street, Dr MC. Raja street andVijayalakshmi puram etc do not have street names now. It must be recalled that earlier the street names were painted on the walls and it has remained like that till now.
As per a resident from Ambattur, it was difficult to direct the delivery partners, autos, ambulances and drinking water lorries etc. He highlighted that the food delivery people use Google maps but they were unable to get the exact location of these 5 streets. Mostly, the food delivery person would reach Bharathinagar instead of Dr. Ambedkar Nagar. The distance between these 2 streets is about 500m. Booking share autos using Ola and Uber apps is not possible here.
It is noteworthy that even the ambulances find it very tough to reach the exact street during the emergency times. Asa result, the ambulances take a long time to reach the exact place here. Inspite of filing several complaints in the last few years, no action has been taken till now. For putting a name board, the local residents have even approached MLA, ward councillor and zonal officers etc.
