The Russian Cultural Centre at teynampet in chennai was buzzing!!
A workshop regarding cyber crimes against women took place there and it was inaugurated by the minister for information technology of TN Mr. Mano Thangaraj.
The minister spoke about how cybercrimes against women were the fastest growing threat to the people and business globally. He added that the cybercrimes have become more and it was due to increased data networks, digital apps, internet and mobile phone users etc. It must be noted that even a small mistake in data securing or a bad social networking could be very dangerous.
In this scenario, cybersecurity becomes very important for the public and by that the data could be protected and inappropriate usage could be avoided. Chairperson TN State Women`s Commission, AS. Kumari delivered the welcome address.
Other important persons who were present were C. Maheswari, IPS, ADCP, central crime branch, GCP, actress Suhasini Maniratnam, director of NCSRC, New Delhi, Mr. Khalieraj etc.
