Amazing news!! Jobs for around 2000 people near Chennai!!

The sensational piece of news is that Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt Ltd (a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation) will be setting up a manufacturing facility at Peruvoyal Village in Gummidipoondi near Chennai. Information collected is that this company would be manufacturing room air conditioners or RAC and compressors etc from this new plant.
This would be the first air-conditioning plant in India from Mitsubishi, Japan and this was brought to light by some sources. The plant would be set up at a cost of Rs 1891 cr through 100% Foreign Direct Investment. Spread over 52.4 acres of land, the manufacturing facility would provide jobs for around 2000 people soon. It is superb to note that 60percent of the jobs in the unit would be reserved for women and they would be provided with training plus development initiatives would be there for them.
For many years, Thiruvallur and Kancheepuram have been the major electronic hubs. It is now said that many ancillary units would develop around the same locality in the future as Mitsbishu would be setting up its plant.
According to some officers from the TN govt, in the future industrial clusters would be developed in Gummidipoondi adjacent to Sri City promoted by Andhra Pradesh. One important advantage of setting up a manufacturing facility in the locality is that the labor resources would be cost effective and resourceful.
In the near future, a MOU would be exchanged in the presence of chief minister of TN Mr. MK. Stalin. The Mitsbushi company has also got plans to manufacture precision air conditioning or PAC and variable refrigerant flow or VRF etc. For innovations and for better testing, the company would also be setting up a R&D centre. If everything goes as per the plans, then by October 2025, the manufacturing facility here would be starting its operations.
