Start of Summer Vacation: resumption of A/C Bus service from Adyar to Mahabalipuram!

As the summer vacation for schools has already commenced, school students have started visiting Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram), especially during the weekends!
Furthermore, the number of tourists visiting Mamallapuram from various districts has also considerably increased.
A few years ago, A/C buses operated to Mamallapuram from Chennai Broadway, Koyambedu, and Thegaraya Nagar. However, as they failed early on, they were not repaired and the bus services were cancelled.
Currently, with the scorching summer in progress, citizens travel in ordinary buses and suffer in the heat. Considering the importance of Mamallapuram as a popular tourist spot, social enthusiasts and citizens have demanded that the A/C bus services to Mamallapuram from Chennai be resumed.
In response to this situation, the administration of Chennai Metro City Transport has resumed the services of A/C buses from Adyar to Mamallapuram on Saturdays, Sundays, and other festival holidays.
It is worth noting that between Chennai and Mamallapuram, the Muttukkadu Tourist Development Corporation Boat Squads, North Nemmoli Crocodile Park, Thiruvidanthai Nithyakalyana Perumal Koil, and Kovalam Blue Flag beach are all located on this route!
