Sewage Disruption Alert for Adyar and Teynampet Zones on March 5 and 6

Residents in Adyar and Teynampet zones are advised to brace for potential sewage issues on March 5 and 6, as the sewage pumping station on LB Road is scheduled to be non-operational during this period.
According to an official press release, the sewage pumping station will be temporarily halted from 8 p.m. on March 5 to 8 p.m. on March 6. This pause is necessary to facilitate interconnection work on the sewer pipelines in Nehru Nagar and Kandanchavadi on Rajiv Gandhi Salai, a project undertaken by Chennai Metro Rail Limited.
In case of sewage overflow problems during this period, residents are urged to contact Metrowater engineers promptly. Authorities assure that steps will be taken to address and resolve any arising sewage-related issues in the affected areas.
