Heavy Rains Lash North Chennai, Monsoon Favors Northern Parts Again

North Chennai continues to receive the brunt of the monsoon rains this season. Since 8:30 am today, North and Northwest Chennai, including the Manali-Madhavaram belt, have recorded substantial rainfall, with more clouds expected to bring additional showers. Rainfall in these areas might cross the century mark soon.
Meanwhile, central and southern parts of Chennai have seen only moderate showers, with rainfall mostly around the 20 mm range since 8:30 am today.
