Discussion regarding the new developments in Nanganallur in Chennai!!
In southern Chennai, Nanganallur is a very important residential locality. There are many temples located here is known to us. Now, this locality is making amazing news.
Yesterday, 10th December, a meeting took.place here. This area sabha meeting was organised by Durgadevi Natarajan who is the ward councillor.
The meeting also saw the presence of some authorities from the civic body. About 70 residents took part in this. In this meeting, there were important discussions about installation of devices to check the quality of metro water and establishment of a library etc.97
It must be noted that the resident welfare association members demanded the installation of devices at several points for checking the metro water quality. Point to be noted is that the pilot project for installation of devices would be launched soon.
The residents wanted a library to be opened for them in Lakshmi Nagar in Nanganallur.
It is known that the presence of SWD or storm water drain would prevent water stagnation. In Nanganallur, the absence of SWD has been responsible for water stagnation after heavy rains. Point is that the residents asked the authorities to desilt and maintain the drains properly.
The poor condition of the roads in the locality were also brought to light by the residents.The residents expressed their unhappiness about the roads and wanted the civic body authorities to relay the roads.
Finally, laying underground cables for LT supply in the localities like Nanganallur, Adambakkam, Alandur and Pazhavanthangal etc was also requested by the residents. For about 6 months, cables laying work has been delayed here. The civic body authorities assured that the work would be started soon.
