Water supply to five zones in Chennai - Teynampet, Kodambakkam, Valasaravakkam, Alandur, and Adyar - and parts of Pallavaram, including Pozhichalur and Cowl Bazaar, will be disrupted for two days. The disruption will begin at 9 p.m. on January 22 (Monday) and continue until 9 p.m. on January 24 (Wednesday).
This is to facilitate Chennai Metro Rail Limited’s work to interconnect drinking water pipelines on Paul Wells Road in Alandur, according to a release from the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB).
Residents are advised to store water in advance and can book water tankers via the online service. Street supply will continue in affected areas. For assistance, contact the CMWSSB helpline at 044-45674567.
