Distribution of allotment orders for more than 700 residents belonging to TNUHDB tenements in Chennai!!

The chief minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. M.K. Stalin grabbed many eyeballs yesterday when he distributed allotment orders to 712 residents for TNUHB or Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board tenements in Chennai. The chief minister later mentioned that the TN government has implemented several special schemes to transform north Chennai to a developed city.

Transforming north Chennai:

The chief minister spoke about how in the past north Chennai was underdeveloped and was ignored to a huge extent. He concluded that north Chennai must be transformed into a developed one to be on par with central and south Chennai.

Initially, Rs 1000 cr was allotted for the development of north Chennai under the North Chennai Development Project. Later, the amount was increased to Rs 6400 cr and several schemes were implemented.

Many welfare schemes have been implemented by the current TN government and these include Breakfast scheme, Pudhumai Penn scheme, Tamil Puthalvan scheme for the welfare of the students etc.

Other important personalities who made their presence felt at the event were Mr. P.D. Sekarbabu, minister for HR & CE, Mr. T.M. Anbarasan, minister for TNUHDB.
