Anna Nagar Tower Park to Get Rs 30 Crore Makeover

The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) is set to revamp Anna Nagar Tower Park with a Rs 30 crore budget to enhance visitor experience.
Key Upgrades Planned:
- Fountains behind the tower
- Pond restoration with algae removal & care for 2,000+ fish
- New children’s play equipment
- 1,000 Miyawaki trees to improve greenery
- Upgraded toilets & a ladies` gym
- Reconstructed footpaths (2,196m-long)
- Free Wi-Fi at 11 locations
With 10,000+ weekend visitors, GCC is also considering an entry fee for the tower to manage visitor flow. The landmark will soon offer a fresh look and modern amenities for Chennai residents.
