Tangled- A hair donation drive

Rotaractors of Women`s Christian College inaugurated Tangled on recently.
Tangled is an initiative to provide wigs free of cost to Cancer patients. During the course of Chemotherapy they drastically lose hair because of which they lose confidence to carry on with their normal activities. There are about 100 patients undergoing Chemotherapy treatment every week at Adyar Cancer Institute.
Mission of Tangled is to provide 200 wigs covering patients between the age group of 13-26 years who are mostly school going and working.
Green trends salon has been very supportive in collecting hair from donors. Until now 2089+ donors have given their beautiful locks which weighs to 72 kgs and has to be made into wigs for awaiting patients. Raj hairs Co will be making the wigs. The making charges for each wig is Rs.4500/-. This event has been widely covered by local and national media.
