An 11-day exhibition, titled ‘Brihadeeswara- the Monument and the living tradition’, begins at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in the city on Thursday, has been organized by the Indira Gandhi National Centre (IGNCA).
It constitutes about 200 photographs of paintings, sculptures and outlines stirring upon the higher level facets of the world top temples.
Various hidden alluring aspects of many temples have been disengaging this exhibition. Say for example, the basement of the Brihadeeswara temple stands at a depth of even less than 6 feet; its vimana is 216 feet height.
