A set of designs have been made ready by the civic body for these four roads include separate cycle channels, special footpaths for visually challenged, designed and embedded with tangible tiles, storm water drainage systems and a three-track passage way.
This project will be getting executed in the grid type arrangements and it costs Rs.90 Crores. This road extends for a stretch of 3.2 kilometers and it covers four roads including Dr. Ambedkar Salai, Ashok Nagar 1st Avenue, 4th Avenue and 11th Avenue. Separate cost also involved in this pavement for altering several utilities alongside of the roads and it costs separately around Rs.30 Crores.
This road pavement work follows the international standard with M40 grade and hence it can withstand for elongated life spin between 5 to 7 years.
Even though the concrete road has many advantages, the road contractors indicates that they outlay double, while evaluating the cost of constructing bituminous macadam (BM) path with concrete road. Also they are not smooth enough when comparing with the bitumen-apexes roads.
