On May 10 (Tomorrow), once after the Sun set in the west, Saturn will elevate with its high magnificence in the lower region of the east direction.

It will be very legendary, visible all through the night along the throng and collection of Libra and stars.  Without any doubt, it will be an awesome sight for the sky- observers.

As Earth rotating amid Saturn and the Sun, the planet Saturn will be very near to us on this auspicious day, says P. Iyanperumal, Executive Director of Periyar Science and Technology Centre.

The ringed vision will be at a distance of just 129.9 Crores km from the Earth surroundings. If the earth travels crosswise Saturn along inward path around the Sun, it will give an illusion as the planet is travelling backwards.

It will be highly valuable time to observe the planet during this period, as planet Saturn will be fixed entirely opposite to the Sun, in linking to the Earth and it will be entirely shed light by it. The ring formation surrounding the planet will be inclined at a flattering angle and can be vision by the astronomers.

Few aspects including A and B rings; Cassini’s Division; the moons like Dione, Rhea, Tethys and Titan; bright stars like Antares and Spica will be evidently visible via a telescope.

People who are interested can visit Birla Planetarium from 7 p.m. between May 9 and 11 to enjoy the awesome sight.
