Music conference to be held in December

The Indian Fine Arts Society will celebrate its 82nd South Indian Music Conference and Festival between December 17 and January 5.
On the inaugural day of the 20-day festival, violinist Kumari A. Kanyakumari will be conferred ‘Sangeetha Kalasikhamani’. Bharatanatyam exponent Priyadarshini Govind will be conferred ‘Natyakalasikhamani’.
Mridangam exponent Mannargudi A. Easwaran will be awarded the Dr. Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman award for Best Senior Mirdangam Vidwan.
