As there is a severe spreading of diseases such as Dengue, Malaria, and Typhoid, Chennai Corporation has ordered strict monitoring of all schools in Chennai.

Mysterious disease has been spreading in Chennai over the last few weeks.

The monsoon is about to start. This has caused the spreading of dengue, malaria, etc.

These diseases, caused mainly by mosquitoes, are likely to affect the school-going children easily.

In order to prevent this, Chennai Corporation has ordered the health department officials to directly visit and monitor all city schools. They should check the garbage, sewage system and stagnant water, etc.

Whether the water tanks remain closed, whether there is any rainwater stagnation, etc will also be checked. The officials should make a detailed report to Chennai Corporation  on the visit to every school.

If any student had been affected with disease, it should be informed to the concerned corporation ward. Arrangements will be made for immediate treatment. If there are any cases in private schools, the affected students should be sent back home.

Corporation had asked for very prompt action.
