Jayalalitha’s release after 22 days of imprisonment, AIADMK party overwhelmingly happy

After spending her distressed imprisonment of 22 days, former Chief Minister J.Jayalalithat got released from Agrahara prison by 3.15 pm today. On reaching the Bangalore airport, she headed to Chennai airport in a separate flight.
She and three other members including Sasikala were given bail by the Supreme Court yesterday. Following this, all the four were expected to be out of jail yesterday. However the copy of Supreme Court’s bail, and few other documents had to get checked at the Bangalore high court. This consumed quite some time and created the delay in release of the four.
Following this, all the four submitted a Rs 2 crore worth bail bond and got released from jail at a time around 3.15 pm. Sasikala and Ilavarasi were released and came out in the same car, whereas Sudhakaran took a separate car and took a separate car to reach Chennai. The car which left the prison arrived at the Bangalore airport and all the four headed towards Chennai airport in a private flight.
