Continued special bus services for Diwali

Owing to the fast pacing Diwali, special bus facilities are provided from Chennai Koyambedu. Considering the entire state, over 1102 special buses are exclusively made available to comfort the travel needs of the public. Out of this, about 501 special buses start from Koyambedu.
As an effort to help the public for advance booking, 25 special counters are being set up in Koyambedu bus depot. Platforms 3, 4 and 5 are exclusively arranged for passengers who have made advance bookings. Further, additional temporary platforms are also set up to park the special diwali buses. Platforms 7, 8 and 9 are set up to carry these special buses in Koyambedu.
In addition to these newly set up platforms, buses are also placed in the vegetable market of Koyambedu. Special measures are also taken to avoid the heavy rush that may arise in these bus depots.
