Security in Chennai Airport tightened

Around 11.45 pm on Saturday night, Bangalore Kempegowda International Airport terminal manager Malhotra received a message on his cell phone which read, “Be alert. Aeroplane blasting tomorrow at 11.30 am.” Following this, the security in Chennai Airport was also tightened. Every passenger entering the airport was frisked and the baggage screened. Police and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel were asked to keep a watch for suspicious baggage and also monitor the movements of passengers.
