In the year 2015 Vaikunat Ekadasi & Arudra Darisanam, occur twice in the same calendar year.

The New Year falls on Thursday.

The coming year carries several features.

Apart from the Hindu religious occasions of Vaikunata Ekadasi & Arudra Darisanam, the Muslim festival of Miladi Nabi also occurs twice in this calendar year.

Vaikunda Ekadasi, the Hindu festival of great significance, occurs twice on 1st January and 21st December.

Arudra Darisanam, a favourite festival dedicated to Lord Siva or Nataraja (the dancing deity), occurs on 4th January and 26th December.

Miladi Nabi, one of the important Muslim religious festivals, occurs on 4th January (Sunday) and 24th December.

The phenomenon of more than a few festivals occurring on more than 1 occasion in a single calendar year is a rather a rare phenomenon!
