A most modern bus-stop with air-conditioning facility has been installed at a cost of Rs. 1 Crore at the Kathipara Hazarghana junction for the first ever time in Chennai.
A cantonment board official informed that the bus stop will be opened for the public in a week’s time.
Approving the great public demand, the project of installing a bus stop with air-conditioning, TV, and ATM facilities was undertaken at a cost of Rs. 1.25 Crores during September, 2014 by the Parangimalai-Pallavaram Cantonment Board.
A public toilet facility has also been provided. Surveillance cameras have been installed in various spots in the bus stop which will help monitor the activities in the bus stop.
24-hour security is provided with guards on operation.
The public can wait in the bus stop speeding time on watching TV in the air-conditioned facility.
The TV will keep displaying the details of buses coming on the route.
So, Chennai city is set to experience the facility of a/c bus stop with other modern facilities for the first time!
