Prices of Drumsticks slashed in Koyambedu wholesale market

Since there is heavy inflow of drumsticks, the prices of drumsticks have drastically come down. Lemon prices have been increased because of the summer season.
 
Trucks carrying vegetables come from Tamil Nadu, Andhra and Kerala to Koyambedu wholesale market. It has also been sent to more than 60 local markets. People also come to the market for their vegetable requirements.
 
From last week, the vegetables are brought to Koyambedu market in 230 to 260 trucks. Since there is heavy harvest, there is heavy inflow of vegetables in Koyambedu market. Because of this, the prices of some vegetables have come down. Potatoes which were sold for Rs 20 last week are now being sold for Rs 25. Beans which were sold for Rs 40 is now being sold for Rs 25. Similarly, the Brinjals which were sold for Rs 30 are now sold between Rs 15 to Rs 20 based on the quality.
 
Few months back the drumsticks were sold for  Rs 160 per kilo. Then it was sold for Rs 90 and Rs 50. Now the prices have come down drastically. Now the drumsticks are  sold for Rs 10 per kilo.
 
The prices of lemons have gone up due to short supply
