Shortage of Post Cards in Chennai Post Offices!

There is a short supply of post cards in several Post Offices in Chennai City including the Head Post Office in Mount Road, Egmore, Purasawalkam, College Road, and DPI Complex.
Chennai Region Post Master General, Mr. Mervin Alexander explained that the shortages for post cards existed only 6 months ago. Presently, there is no shortage. Some people buy 1000 or 2000 post cards in a single buy.
Small-scale traders and money-lenders (who lend money with interest) buy post cards in bulk quantities.
The situation regarding shortage of post cards will be thoroughly explored and suitable action will be taken.
