Order to keep liquor shops closed on Independence Day!

Chennai District Collector Ms. E. Sundaravalli has ordered that all liquor shops including TASMAC shops to remain closed on 15th August, Independence Day.
No liquor should be sold on 15th August, Independence Day in all shops including retail alcohol shops.
Shops/bars with FL2 Licence, bars attached to hotels with FL3 licence, Bars attached to Tamil Nadu Tourism Department Hotels with FL3A licence should all remain closed on this day.
Stringent legal action will be taken on those who undertake selling liquor in violation of this order.
