Indian Meteorological Centre: South-west Monsoon to end in 3 days!

Indian Meteorological Centre has announced that the south-west monsoon is set to end in 3 days.
 
South-west monsoon had ended for the North & West regions of India. However, south-west monsoon has continued in East, North-east, and some parts of South India.
 
Now, Indian meteorological centre has informed that this extended south-west monsoon in some parts of India is likely to end in 2 or 3 days.
 
South-west monsoon was delayed this year by 5 days and started n 5th June. From the monsoon, a rainfall of 760.6 mm has been recorded from June till September in India. This is 14% lesser than the average expected rainfall.
 
An average rainfall of 27.4 mm has been recorded from 1st October till 15th October.
 
North-west monsoon is expected to start by 23rd October. However, no official announcement has been made as yet.
 
The Director of Chennai Meteorological Centre Mr. S. R. Ramanan explained that it has been announced that southwest monsoon is set to end in 2 or 3 days. However, it can`t be said that the North-eat monsoon will start immediately after this. Due to the thermal convection of wind in upper layers of the atmosphere in the Kanyakumari region, there may be rains in a few places in South Tamil Nadu.
