Traffic blocked at Chennai-Kolkata Highway

The depression formed over the Bay of Bengal hs moved towards Andhra Pradesh leading to heavy rains there.
There was extremely heavy rain for the past 2 days in Nellore region. This has inundated ll the main rods and low-lying areas.
The section of the road between Manuyolu & Soodhoor in the Chennai & Kolkata highway has been eroded and cut off. This has led to heavy traffic congestion in that area. 2 bridges have been damaged quite heavily. Water is flowing across the National Highway just like a river stream.
Following this, all the traffic from Chennai to Vijayawada has been diverted via Haveli, Udayagiri, Bathvel to Cudappah.
There was heavy traffic congestion due to incessant rain in Nellore-Mumbai Highway as well.
