Final electoral roll released

According to the final electoral roll released by the Election Commission on Wednesday Tamil Nadu has 5.79 crore voters for the coming assembly elections.
There are 6, 14,892 first-time voters. Of them, 3, 45,132 are men, 2, 69,617 are women and 143 are third gender people.
Chennai has 38.2 lakh voters - a 3 percent increase since the revision in September last year. There are 19 lakh male voters. They are outnumbered by 19.2 lakh female voters. There are 786 third gender voters.
