Vehicles check in Chennai intensified on the occasion of Republic Day

The vehicles moving in Chennai are being checked more strictly in several areas including Chennai central railway station, Marina beach road, etc especially during the nights.

As warnings have been released that IS terrorists have plans to sabotage the Republic Day celebrations, a strict routine is followed while checking like vehicle`s ownership, licence, etc. The Police authorities have informed that this strict routine will be followed for the next 5 days.

Republic Day is et to be celebrated throughout India in another 4 days time. As a prt of beefing up the security, the Police have been checking all the vehicles during nights as teams deployed in 6 places covering all the zones in Chennai city.

The Police have been checking vehicles on top priority in certain areas like front of Chennai Central Railway Station, the end of Wall Tax Road, Moolagothram, Kamarajar Salai which is a part of the Chennai Beach, etc.

With Indian Intelligence Bureau issuing warnings that IS terrorist Organisation planning to sabotage the Republic Day Celebrations, The police Department has taken to stringent checking of vehicles as a part of strengthening the security.

The Police have informed that this shcking will continue for 4 more days with even more stringent checking
