Truckjee, India’s first ‘Digital Marketplace’, that provides innovative logistics solutions to organizations for hiring trucks online, was launched today. This is going to bring about a total shift in the way truck aggregation and procurement has been done so far in the conventional system.

Addressing the Media, Mr. Younus Farveaz, Founder and CEO, TruckJee said, “It is designed and aimed at creating a transparent truck aggregation and hiring B2B marketplace, TruckJee connects Transport Organizations directly to truck owners waiting for trips for their trucks. This approach significantly decreases truck hiring costs to these organizations and increases the average trips per truck for an owner, which at the end of the day increases the topline for both parties.

In the initial Beta release, a truck procurement activity which normally lasts for over 6 hours was reduced to 1 hour by using TruckJee’s approach. This huge reduction of 83% in time and effort, using TruckJee’s managed process comes at zero cost to the transporter, giving him additional benefits and increased control over the transportation activities. The beta users were able to save approx. 13% of their average procurement cost and found it easy, productive and compelling to use the platform.”

Talking about the GST and its impact on the company, which is most likely to be implemented by the Govt. of India soon, Younus said, It is the most opportune time to launch such a service. Logistics in India is highly fragmented and yet to progress as a major contributor to the supply chain. Removal of multiple taxation at various check points and toll booths throughout the country will help increase the average km covered by a truck which is currently 250-280 km per day in India and match the global average of 400km per day.

Implementation of GST will integrate this multilayered tax system into a single unified one, improving the movement of goods between States. This would also help logistics service providers to deliver goods more efficiently and optimize delivery times as compared to the present, leading to a reduction in costs by 12-15%, thereby lowering the final price of goods. The focus of business organizations would shift from tax saving to efficiency.

The logistics market of India, which is currently dominated by several unorganized service providers will witness the emergence of organized service providers like TuckJee. These service providers would invest in adopting sophisticated technologies and training manpower in order to increase efficiency.

TruckJee aims to reach a target of Rs. 15 crores turnover in the next 24 months.
