Minister shares in the Assembly info regarding Anna Arch over-bridge project

The Highways Minister Edappadi Palanisamy informed in the assembly today (Friday, 5th August) that the construction activity on the over-bridge near the Anna Arch in Anna Nagar would be completed by end September.
As the project is nearing completion having been in progress for a very long period, it is expected that this will bring great relief to the traffic congestion in the area.
Ponmudi, DMK MLA member, had raised this question as the project has been under construction for a very long time.
The minister explained that the activities such as the acquisition of land, etc in the initial stage of the project took a long time. The project could be commenced only after completing these activities.Moreover, the landowners filed a case in the court regarding this. The case was in progress for 3.5 years. Now, these cases are closed. A part of the construction is already completed. The balance will be completed by end-September.
