Deepavali crackers to be hiked by 5 percent only

Sivakasi fireworks dealers have mentioned that there will be only 5 percent price hike in the crackers due to lack of sufficient orders. The price list of the crackers for the Deepavali festival has been released now. The prices of products used to manufacture a fire cracker have gone up. The wages of the casual laborers working in the fireworks factories have not been hiked. Only there is 10 percent increase in the monthly salary of the regular workers. The production cost because of these factors has gone up by 15 percent. In spite of this, the prices of the fireworks have been hiked by only 5 percent due to lack of sufficient orders.
