Chief Minister Jayalalithaa continues treatment in Apollo Hospitals with respiratory support

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa who was admitted in the Apollo Hospital is still undergoing treatment. Chief Minister has been put on respiratory support. Ms Jayalalithaa was admitted on 22nd September at Greams Road Apollo Hospitals as she was suffering from fever and dehydration. Her fever subsided after the doctors gave her intense treatment. The hospital administration announced that she is taking normal diet and she will take rest in the hospital for couple of days.
 
At this juncture, she had developed an infection. She was being administered antibiotics and allied clinical measures were being taken to treat infection, The Apollo Hospital also obtained an expert opinion from Dr. Richard Beale, an international specialist and consultant from the Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital, London, who was flown in from the United Kingdom on September 30,
 
Day before yesterday, a press release issued by Apollo Hospitals say that she Jayalalithaa is responding well to treatment, but is still in respiratory support to treat infection.
 
Now Subbiah Viswanathan, COO of the hospital has mentioned: The condition of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa at the Apollo Hospitals in Chennai continues to improve. The same line of treatment is being continued. The Honourable Chief Minister is under close observation by the team of doctors, The Honourable Chief Minister has been advised further stay in the hospital for treatment
