Commissioner of police building has now got special net to prevent loss of lives

Stress and tension are part and parcel of every human life and ending life is not the solution.

Recently people in Chennai woke up to shocking news of police personnel committing suicides. On 7th of March 2018 at the Ayanavarm police station a sub-inspector Mr. Sathish Kumar shot himself.

Earlier on 4th of March 2018, Jayalalitha memorial witnessed the death of Armed Reserve Wing Police Mr. Arunraj when he shot himself.

Police department has been trying many methods to stop these suicides. The news that has emerged now is the Greater Chennai Police Commissioner building has got special net to catch those who decide to jump of the building here. This net was installed here so that suicides of police personnel could be prevented.

In the first floor of the 9 storeyed building a net is now installed to discourage police personnel trying to end their lives in the campus. According to a source it is now said that top police officials are worried about the suicides of police personnel due to high stress in them. Many yoga classes have been organised for the personnel belonging to police department is known.

It is now said that a net has been tied to the 4 walls in the courtyard connecting to first floor.  One important point is the net might not hold the weight of a person falling from the 9th floor but it would definitely reduce the impact. Finally the person’s life could be saved. This was confirmed by the police sources.
