The last part of the 45km phase of Chennai Metro Rail is getting geared up for opening. For this, the CMRL is conducting many promotional measures and awareness activities for encouraging the passengers to take up this service.
There are free medical screening camps being conducted at various metro stations by the CMRL in association with MGM Healthcare. For the metro passengers, these camps are to be held between 3rd and 31st January between the time 8 am and 11 am. In these camps, the participants can get their weight, height, BP level, sugar level, heart rate and lung functioning checked.
Totally, these camps will be conducted at 11 stations which includes Kilpauk, Shenoy Nagar, Central, Nehru Park, Anna Nagar, Anna Nagar Tower, Koyambedu, Arumbakkam, CMBT, Vadapalani and Thirumangalam.
It will be easy for the commuters to go straight by walk from these stations and reach the camp with ease. The camps are to be set up at the stations’ unpaid areas.
The final touch for stations between AG-DMS and Washermenpet are being given. Currently, trial runs are being conducted. And the 10km line shall be open by January end.
