Advance booking for travel for Deepavali festival commenced today!

Deepavali is among the most important Hindu festival celebrated in a grand manner throughout India and awaited eagerly! This year, Deepavali falls on the 27th of October.
Most of the people who reside away from their native places traditionally travel to their native places to celebrate the happy occasion of Deepavali. Thus, it is traditional to expect the passengers to start travelling right from 23rd October!
It is notable that the bookings for the express trains to the southern districts are already full!
However, Southern Railway has planned to operate additional trains monitoring the demand.
However, it is also true that the bookings for these additional trains would also get full rather quickly. So, a good lot of passengers undertake travel by Omni-buses and the State Transport Corporation’s express buses.
1200 buses are planned to be operated for this Deepavali festival on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Express Transport Corporation to Trichy, Madurai, Thirunelveli, Nagercoil, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Salem, Tirupathi, and Bangalore.More than 1 Lakh passenger travel by these deluxe and air-conditioned buses every day.
There is a facility for advance booking in the State Government Transport Corporation Express buses 2 months (60 days) in advance. Accordingly, for those passengers who plan to travel on 25th October, the advance booking commenced today (Tuesday, 27th October).
There are a large number of deluxe and air-conditioned buses and buses with berth facility in the State Express Transport Corporation.
It has been informed that the public can make the advance booking online at the websites: www.tnstc.in and www.redbus.in and www.paytm.com.
The officials further informed that as the traffic congestions are expected to be rather heavy in the suburban routes, planning has already been taken up as to how to reduce this heavy traffic congestion and how to plan the operation of buses.
