The last date for linking PAN-Aadhar - 30th September

The central government Department of Finance has warned that the failure to link PAN card with Aadhar will render the PAN card useless.
The ’12-digit’ Aadhar card has been given to all citizens in the country. The central government has ordered that this Aadhar card must be linked with PAN card which is for filing of annual income tax returns.
A time extension for this activity has been given several times.
As such, the time extension given for Aadhar-PAN link gets over on 30th September.
If in case, Aadhar-PAN link has not been done, the Central Finance department has warned that PAN would be invalid. At the same time, there have been no clear details of whether the expired PAN card can be reactivated.
