100% lockdown in Chennai Metro City from 19th June!

- 100% lockdown imposition will be implemented in Chennai Metro City from 19th June. Only essential activities will be permitted with restriction.
- 100% lockdown will be imposed in Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Chingleput, and the Chennai Metro City under the jurisdiction of the Chennai Police Department.
- Rs. 1000 will be given to all rice ration-card holders being residents of the Chennai Metro City under the jurisdiction of the Chennai Metro Police Department.
- 100% lockdown is being imposed in these places from 19th June to 30th June.
- This is implemented in Thiruvallur City administration areas as well.
- 100% lockdown in Gummidipundi, Ponneri, and Minjur.
- 100% lockdown in Chingleput, Maraimalainagar local administration as well!
- Kanchipuram district: 100% lockdown only in areas under the jurisdiction of the Chennai Metro Police Department.
- Exception accorded to medical services and other essential services.
- Taxis/autos permitted only for emergency needs.
- The State Government Departments in the areas under the jurisdiction of the Chennai Metro Police will function with 33% of staff.
- The Central Government Office will function with 33# staff in the areas under the jurisdiction of the Chennai Metro Police.
- The State Government Employees who reside in the announced containment zones under the jurisdiction of the Chennai Metro Police NEED NOT ATTEND DUTY!
- The ration shops will be open from 8.00 AM to 2.00 PM in these areas.
- The rations shops located in the containment zones will not function.
- Vegetable shops and Petrol bunks will also operate from 6.00 AM to 2.00 PM.
- Only parcels will be allowed in hotels. No permission for tea shops!
- Food delivery agencies may be permitted to function after getting permission
- Amma canteens will continue to function.
- Private volunteer-agencies may be allowed to function with government approval.
- During these 12 days of 100% lockdown imposition (19th to 30th June), there are no blocks in the construction where the construction stays and works.
- On these 12 days, the system will not be allowed for the employees to attend normal duty by going to the company in the morning and returning by the evening/night.
