It is well-known that the movie halls and multiplexes in the state of TamilNadu have been shut since March when the lockdown was announced across the country to contain the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
The State Government of Tamil Nadu, announced today (Saturday, 31st October) allowing movie theatres and multiplexes to reopen from 10th November with 50 per cent seating capacity.

Apart from the movie theaters, museums, amusement and entertainment parks, zoos, auditoriums, and assembly halls will also be allowed to reopen from 10th November.
The Tamil Nadu State Government also permitted:
· Schools (for classes 9-12), colleges, research institutes and other educational institutions to reopen from November 16 with COVID-19 safety norms.
· The religious congregation, community and cultural gatherings, social and political functions are allowed from 16th November with a ceiling of 100 persons.
· The age limit of people who can visit gyms from Sunday has been increased from 50-year-old to 60-year-old.
· A maximum of 100 guests are allowed in weddings and funerals, the state government said.
