Cochlear implant programme launched at this Chennai hospital

In Chennai, MGM HealthCare Hospital is one of the famous hospitals and this hospital has grabbed the attention of many now. The news is this hospital has launched a cochlear implant programme after the completion of successful bilateral cochlear implantation surgery that was conducted on a child.
After the birth, the child has issues in communication and the child was diagnosed with auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder. It was brought out by a press release from the hospital that the nerve of hearing was stimulated by audiological inputs by constant use of bilateral use of programming hearing aids for many years and there has been little improvement only. The signs of stagnation were visible as the kid underwent many audiological tests.
Cochlear implant could only solve this issue of the kid and this was mentioned by the doctors belonging to MGM Health Care Hospital. It is important to mention that the kid was implanted with a hearing device- Cochlear profile 632perimodiolar slim wireless Kanso 2 speech processor.
Even under the water, the wireless sound processor could function well and it has got Bluetooth connectivity. The rechargeable batteries could be used to programme the processor.
