GCC warning to shops! Penalty for violation of guidelines for the prevention of coronavirus pandemic!

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has announced some relaxations in the prevailing lockdown imposition as admeasure to prevent/reduce the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

As per this, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has further announced that certain lockdown restrictions will be extended until 15th November.

In a notification released by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, it is mentioned:

“The prevailing lockdown imposition with some relaxations as a preventive measure against the spread of the coronavirus pandemic is extended until 15th November.

As the festive season is in progress presently, the restrictions are announced accordingly. The public must cooperate and avoid crowd gathering in public laces or shops, etc. The citizens MUST WEAR FACE MASKS while venturing out!”

 With the festive season in progress, the shops are likely to be crowded with buyers!

As such, the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has warned that a penalty will be imposed on the commercial complex/shops which violate the preventive guidelines for the coronavirus pandemic!

In a notification released by the Greater Chennai Corporation in this regard, it is warned that that the commercial complexes must thoroughly avoid gathering large crowds and MUST ALLO only a limited number of buyers inside the chops/complexes.

GCC has further notified that the monitoring of this aspect has been intensified in the Chennai Metro City’s large prominent shopping areas such as Theagaraya Nagar, Purasaawalkam, Koyambedu and Parry’s Corner.
