Amazing change that has happened to this road in Virugambakkam suddenly now!!

Ever since making his debut in Tamil film industry in the year 1987 with the film titled ‘Manadhil Uruthi Vendum’ directed by the legend Mr. K. Blalachander, actor Vivek has been responsible for bringing the roofs down in many cinema theatres with his amazing dialogue delivery coupled with his unmatchable body language. He has acted with all the leading heroes in the last 3 decades and that is very well known to us.
Actor Vivek’s huge interest for the development of the society and his involvement in many social activities has made Vivek the comedy actor a fantastic human being also. It is superb to mention that he has planted many saplings after his interaction with former Indian president and rocket scientist Dr. APJ. Abdul Kalam. This fabulous actor passed away on 17th of April In 2021.
Just a few days back, a request was made by the actor’s wife to the chief minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. M.K. Stalin about naming the road where actor Vivek lived on his name.
The news now is that the road in Virugambakkam in Chennai where actor Vivek lived has been renamed as ‘Chinna Kalaivanar Vivek Street’. This was done mainly to commemorate the first year death anniversary of this comedy actor. A GO has been passed by the municipal administration and water supply department in this regard and this was based on the request from Chennai Corporation to change the name of the road where actor Vivek lived.
It must be noted that the residents living in the actor Vivek’s locality and cinema associations had kept representations to the corporation to change the road’s name. This was according to the government order. It is said that based on the request the commissioner of the corporation has written to MAWS department seeking name change and it has been done now.
