The omni buses across the state of Tamil Nadu are doing this especially during the festival days or holidays etc. It is known that many people prefer omni buses to go to their natives and the omni bus management have been using this as an opportunity to collect huge money for the tickets. During the festivals and other holidays etc, the omni buses charge double or even triple amount as ticket rates from the passengers.
It must be noted that the public have given complaints about the high ticket rates in the omni buses. The Coimbatore city police commissioner has already given warnings regarding this. Severe action would be taken against the omni bus operators for collecting high rates from the passengers. This was as per the police commissioner Mr.Balakrishnan.
To give complaints against high ticket rates charged by the omni bus operators, the public could contact police control room numbers like 100, 8190000100, 04222303390 etc.
